A Farmer manages farms, ranches, greenhouses, nurseries, and other agricultural production organizations. Farmers are involved in planting, cultivating, performing post-harvest duties, overseeing livestock, and supervising farm labor depending on the type of farm.

Agriculture Consultants, also referred to as Agriculture Advisors, provide professional opinions to a diverse clientele. Their primary role involves ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their clients' businesses. Clients may encompass farmers, conservation organizations, and landowners. The consultancy services provided by Agriculture Consultants can span technical or business-related areas.

A Horticulturist is responsible for increasing yield, improving vigor, size, and taste of plants. They also coordinate research programs for selective crops. Horticulturists must have extensive knowledge about trees, flowers, vegetables, nuts, bushes, and fruits.

The work of pest control operators entails identifying pests that are causing problems and determining how to control them. Pest control operators measure rooms to estimate how much pesticide to use and how much it will cost. In some cases, they cut openings into buildings to get to infested areas.

Wool classers are responsible for the shearing and wool-classing process. They must organise the activities in and around the shearing shed and ensure that the wool is classed according to standards set out.

Livestock Farmers plan, organise, control, coordinate and perform farming operations to breed and raise livestock. Provide advice on the administration and use of land and property, assess the market value of land, property and items. Veterinarians diagnose, treat and prevent animal diseases, ailments and injuries.

Grain graders are responsible for the grading, storage and distribution of grain. Grain is marketed according to its class and grade. To determine the quality of the grain, grain graders examine representative samples of all grain deliveries and grade them.

A Meat Inspector/Examiner is an individual who works in abattoirs (slaughterhouses) and examines meat to determine whether it complies with safety standards and is fit for public consumption. Meat Inspectors/Examiners are required at hunts and/or game harvesting.

A soil scientist is a person who is qualified to evaluate and interpret soils and soil-related data for the purpose of understanding soil resources as they contribute to not only agricultural production, but as they affect environmental quality and as they are managed for protection of human health and the environment.
