Oncology nurses are specialized nurses who work with patients who have cancer or other types of tumours. They provide care and support to these individuals, as well as their families, throughout the course of their treatment. Oncology nurses may also be responsible for administering treatments and monitoring patient progress over time. This requires a great deal of knowledge about oncology procedures, drugs, and equipment.

Orthopedic surgeons work with a wide variety of patients who suffer from ailments affecting their musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. They address physical traumas, such as injuries, infections, and other conditions requiring either non-invasive orthopedic procedures or surgical intervention.

A pediatrician provides general medical care, monitors growth and development, and tracks and administers immunizations for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The pediatrician diagnoses and treats illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries, and eases the lives of children with chronic conditions.

An oncologist is a doctor who treats cancer and provides medical care for a person diagnosed with cancer. An oncologist may also be called a cancer specialist. The field of oncology has 3 major areas based on treatments: medical oncology, radiation oncology, and surgical oncology.

Osteopathic doctors take a holistic approach to medicine and strive to heal the body by aligning all bodily systems. Also called osteopathic physicians, osteopathic doctors (DOs) use manipulative techniques to treat patients. Like medical doctors, they also perform surgery, prescribe medication, and recommend exercise regimes and diets.
